Sree Muthappan Temple

Dedicated to Sri Muthappan, an incarnation of Lord Siva..Here you can watch  ritual dance 'Theyyam',a ritual folk dance, performed daily. The Kathakali club in the temple holds Kathakali shows on request. The Parassinikadavu Snake Park is close to the temple. This temple is on the banks of the river Valapatanam, 18kms from Kannur town.

Sree Ramaswamy Temple

This temple, dedicated to Sri Rama, is one of the most important temples in Malabar. The exquisite carvings in the temple are 400 years old. This temple is  23 kms from Kannur town.

Trichambaram Temple

A sacred place of the Valshnava cult, the diety of the temple is Sri Krishna. The sculptures on the walls of the Sanctum-Sancturum.are in a class by themselves. The annual temple festival is held in March. This is 20 km from Kannur near Taliparamba town on the National Highway.

Thodikalam Temple

This temple is famous for its mural paintings. It is believed to have been constructed 2000 years ago. It is 34 Kms south-east of Kannur and located 2 km from Kannavam on the Thalasseri-Mananthavady road.
